How to Wear Security Earpieces

Radio earpieces look really cool. They are generally used for surveillance but some enthusiasts also wear them just for fun. Secret agents and spies in the movies have made these accessories really cool to wear.
Putting on a radio earpiece is not a tough job. To put on an earpiece, first of all you need to take that earpiece and microphone clip in your hand. The microphone is to be put where you are most comfortable with it. It can be put on your hands, specifically on your wrist. You must have seen Spies or Secret Service agents in movies lifting their wrists talk. This is where they are speaking into the mouthpiece on their wrists.
If you're not comfortable with the mouthpiece on the wrist, you can also put it on the tie or on the shirt, on your chest. Once you have clipped on the mouthpiece, it is time to put on the radio. Take the wire dangling from the mouthpiece and put it inside your shirt. Take this wire out from the top of the shirt. This way the dangling wires will be completely hidden. Take the earpiece and put it on your ears. Make sure, that it fits neatly and would not fall off when you start to walk. You can put it on either ear. If you are wearing the mouthpiece on the wrist, you will find it comfortable to put the earpiece on the same side ear.
Once you are comfortable with the mouthpiece and the earpiece, it is the turn of the end that goes into the radio. Take this dangling wire connecting that end with earpiece and mouthpiece and put it inside your shirt. Take out the wire from the bottom of the shirt. Put it in the radio and clip the radio in its place on your pants. Once you have that these wires inside your shirt completely, you need to tuck in your shirt inside your pants so that none of the wires are visible.
Once everything is fixed, switch on the said radio and test the settings. If everything is working as it should be then you have put on the radio earpiece correctly.
Wait, you are not done yet!
Once you have tucked in your shirt inside your pants and put on your jacket, you need to test the comfort level of this piece by walking around a few paces up and down. If you're comfortable with the earpiece and the mouthpiece and are able to talk on radio, then you are set for the job. If any of the wires are the earpiece or the mouthpiece is making you uncomfortable, you need to reset your wires.
The real advantage of a concealed earpiece is that others would not notice when you are talking on a reflected earpiece. If you're uncomfortable wearing these or with the wires, you lose the advantage of a hidden radio earpiece. Therefore it is very important to check the complete settings by walking around.
Congratulations, you have successfully put on a radio earpiece. Now, enjoy talking like a secret service agent.

How To Master A Hypnotic Sales Pitch Using AIDA Marketing

Most people see the world as they wish it was or they think it should be. So they find themselves upset at the way things are going because ending results are hardly in their favor. They're confused and constantly at odds with the way things are going. But not a salesman. A salesman sees the world for what it is. He isn't trying to change people's behavior; he is trying to understand people's behavior. And this understanding makes it that much easier to master a hypnotic sales pitch. To be frank, it isn't hard; you just have to be more conscious than the average person out there.
You don't have to be a natural-born salesman to be successful, nor do you have to be an expert or mind-reader to formulate a hypnotic sales pitch. Salesmen are not born. Good and even great salesmen are made by simply understanding basic salesmanship, and adding some experience to their jacket. It's a learned behavior. But you must learn the basics first. It's called A.I.D.A. Marketing. There are no shortcuts to that.
The basics of salesmanship haven't changed since the pre-web days, and it never will because it involves social conversation that old school salesmen perfected many years ago. Rather it's over the phone, in person on a one-on-one basis, a group setting, YouTube video, newsletter, or Skype, the fundamentals are the same both online and offline.
The real secret to selling is to convince people that what you have to offer is of value to them; life changing even. Get them excited enough to take action right away. That's what separates salesmen from sales boys. It doesn't matter if your offer is on a small-scale or a very large one, you have to convince your prospect that your product, service, and/or information will make their life so much easier or better. Rather your prospect is in need of a new drill or a healthy lung, your conversation's goal is to establish that you have the solution to their problem. A hypnotic sales pitch is to establish that you're the person that he wants to deal with. Add that to your friendly attitude and you will certainly close the deal!
I'm not sure of the identity of the original author of A.I.D.A, but it's a model that my grandpa introduced me to many years ago.
A=Attention: You must get their attention right out of the gate. Be specific. Narrow it down to a niche. Ex: Title, headline, hook, etc.
I=Interest: You have to build interest immediately enough for them to halt what they're doing. You want their undivided attention. Your presentation should be short, sizzling, and informative.
D=Desire: After successfully completing the two, a desire surfaces as you tell them more about the benefits and what they have to gain by simply trying your offer.
A=Action: This is when you assertively urge your prospect to take action. Always be closing!
I grew up hearing my grandpa use that term, "Always be closing," each time he became victorious at whatever undertaking he decided to take on. Rather it was him catching the garbage truck before it turned the corner, or after one of his brief yet important calls that he took in his home office, it didn't matter, he would always recite that phrase along with the A.I.D.A. acronym. Afterwards a smile would grace his face and it was the perfect time to ask for a lemon cookie. Luckily for me, grandpa hardly ever shut the office door completely, which allowed for lots of eavesdropping and lemon cookies.
I enjoyed spying on grandpa because he told such incredible stories over the phone to people that he called "clients." I would never forget I couldn't have been any older than 7 years, when one morning after breakfast I stood at the back-slit of his office door, peeking over the middle hinge just to get a glimpse of him. I watched as he sat comfortably behind his desk, weaving another one of his stories to a client over the telephone. His hypnotic sales pitch was a story about a carpenter that lived in North Dakota. Looking back at it, it was as if he had the attention of a filled room; quite the opposite of holding the attention of only one faceless person over the phone. His posture, knowledge, and friendly mannerism were all admirable. The recipient of grandpa's story must've agreed, as he was happily persuaded to accept grandpa's offer before the conclusion of their call. From where I stood, I secretly whispered the acronym as the letters rolled off grandpa's tongue, "A.I.D.A."
Later that evening while grandpa sat in his favorite lounging chair, reading a fat book that I recognized from his office desk, I nestled beside him and said, "Grandpa, granny said that you help families by selling them insurance."
He peered over his reading glasses that sat at the tip of his nose and said, "And as always, your granny is right. I am an Insurance Broker."
I smiled, and with broken English I announced, "I want to be an Insurance Broker too, grandpa! Do they all tell fun stories like you do?"
"Well, the good ones do." Grandpa placed his fat book on the coffee table, along with his reading glasses. He patted his thigh and motioned for me to claim my favorite sitting spot. With the biggest smile, I sat sidewise on his lap and he begins to tell a story. "Storytelling has been around since the beginning of time. Before writing was invented, people communicated by telling stories. But your story has to be compelling. A leader engages people's future and captures their hearts through storytelling," he said and continued, "when the time is right, you will recall this conversation. But for now, all I want you to do is remember these four letters," and we said it together, "A.I.D.A."
You see, mastering the art of storytelling is the same as mastering your hypnotic sales pitch. Stories are illustrative, easily memorable and allow any salesman to create stronger emotional bonds with their customers. Why? Because humans LOVE stories! Our brains are actually wired for listening to stories. We all have stories within us; just as we all have an inner salesman that we bring out when we need to be persuasive. In other words, don't sell, tell great stories!
I say this in all sincerity and all urgency, get the basics down first. It's not tough at all. It's not voodoo nor is it magic. It is easy but you're probably not going to figure it out on your own.

5 Essential Songs to Learn on the Piano

You want to learn a new song on the Piano but your stuck. You can't think of a song you want to learn. I've put together a list of 5 essential songs on the piano that all players should learn at some point. So if you're stuck for something to learn why not consider one of these.
I've chosen three songs for beginners and two for more intermediate players so players of all skill levels can find something here.
Hey Jude
Most of us have heard this classic Beatles song. Opening with straight forward piano chords it's one of the best pop songs ever written on the instrument. While the song may sound complex it's really not that difficult for beginners who know a few songs already to pick up. Once you know the chords figuring out the pattern isn't that tough.
Don't Stop Believing
Some people view this song as cheesy, personally I like it. This pop stadium rock song was probably the band Journey's biggest hit. It's been covered by many bands, including the hit TV show Glee and also used as the outro for the final episode of the HBO TV series, The Soprano's. The intro is great fun to play and if you can carry a tune while you're playing piano this is a fun one to sing as well.
November Rain
Probably not an easy song for beginners to learn but Guns N Roses November Rain was and still is a huge hit for the band and main piano player Axl Rose. It's a beautiful piano part during the verses and it continues through out the song. You can find versions of this song to play it in a stripped down piano only version online.
Let it Be
Another great Beatles tune, Let it Be is a staple for all beginners. Like Hey Jude this song may sound more difficult to play then it actually is. The chords are pretty straight forward and there aren't too many difficult parts beyond that. You can find the basic piano chords online and then listen to the song a couple of times to pick the progression out by ear.
Bohemian Rhapsody
When you think of this song you might not think of it as a piano tune, how ever watch a live performance of this song and you'll see Eddie Mercury, the lead singer of Queen, playing the piano through a good portion of the song. There are versions online you can find which create some simple piano parts to play during the more complex electric guitar parts of the song.
This is another great song to sing and play if you are able to do it.

13 Steps to Mentalism - An Overview

If you want to perform "mentalism" you may have heard of a book called "13 Steps to Mentalism", and for good reason. This book is considered a classic of mentalism - but does it deliver? Just what will you learn from this book?
Well to start, 13 Steps to Mentalism has been around since the 1960's and was written by Tony Corinda. Originally it was published as 13 different booklets in London. Thankfully it has been published in a single book format containing all 13 steps. The fact that it has such staying power in a market flooded with books and dvds speaks of its quality right off the bat.
Each chapter or "step" in his book describes different techniques or methods that a mentalist can use to perform different acts of mental magic or mentalism. Below I will briefly give an overview of what each step teaches.
Step One - Swami Gimmick
I haven't know a mentalist worth his salt that didn't own and frequently use a swami gimmick. They are a 'must have' for any mentalist. It is one of the mentalist's most powerful tools and nearly invisible to the spectator. This step goes over the various types of swami gimmicks available and when to use each one. Corinda describes how to best use these gimmicks while minimizing detection. At the end of this step, he goes into various mentalism effects possible with use of this gimmick.
Step Two - Pencil, Lip, Sound, Touch and Muscle Reading
By means of this step one can make predictions on the basis of gathering sense information from the spectator by means of touch, sound and sight. Muscle reading, that is feeling the small changes in muscle tension in the spectator, can be a devastating and very accurate method of prediction if practiced. This isn't a complete treatise on card magic, but Corinda does list some mentalism effects that can be worked with cards.
Step Eleven - Question and Answer
Divided into two sections: Questions that are unknown and questions that are known. Discusses various techniques on how to obtain information to questions that are unknown. Great introduction to 'cold reading'.
Step Twelve - Publicity Stunts
Want to 'market' yourself as a mentalist? Well, the price of the book is worth it for this step alone! If you want to increase your exposure and reputation as a mentalist, this is the chapter you'll learn how to do so. With slight modifications this chapter is easily relevant today, although written in the 60's.
Step Thirteen - Patter and Presentation
Even if you have all the techniques if a mentalist down and you fail in the area of 'patter' or presentation - no one will want to watch you perform. This step covers the building blocks of a good performance, appearance, misdirection and more. A very good chapter.
Conclusion: The short answer to 'is this book worth it' is a resounding 'Yes!' Even if you are not altogether interested in mentalism, this is still a good book for the magician's library. If you are interested in performing mentalism, then the answer is altogether different - it is a must-have. You will be referencing this book for a long time to come.

If you've been tasked with giving a presentation, you want to impact and impress your listeners. Experienced presenters know that careful preparation is essential. Take the time to consider your strategy in advance and start strong. Your audience will sum up your style of presenting within the first few seconds, and if it is unexciting, you've lost their interest for the rest of your session.
You may even find that your presentation will be captured on video for future use in online events. That means that your lecture will be offered indefinitely, good or bad, so take these tips into consideration and make your presentation count for both your live and virtual audiences!
People Do Judge a Book by its Cover. Before the audience has the chance to assess you on the quality of content you will be sharing with them, they gauge your professionalism and significance by the way you carry yourself. Wear a jacket, or better yet, a suit. Dark colors, such as black or blue appear most professional and look good on camera as well. Consider a trim and neat haircut or hairstyle and limit amount of jewelry and accessories.
Learn the Subject, Not the Script. You need to know your subject matter inside and out. The audience is coming to learn from you, hear your ideas, and come away with a slice of your expertise on the topic. Anyone can simply do research on a subject matter, jot down a script and read from it. One Theme - Four Main Points. Your overall presentation should revolve around a main theme. And with that theme, try to bullet out up to four points during your speech. Though you have been called upon to provide a presentation and share your knowledge, that doesn't mean you need to cram everything you know into your slotted delivery time. Your audience should be able to walk away from your informational session having learned the topic and be able to recount at least two of the main points that were discussed.
Say It, Don't Display It. Simple and visually stimulating slides are key to an effective PowerPoint presentation. Limit the amount of text on each slide. Narration should come from the presenter and need not be transcribed on the PowerPoint slides. Slides are great for graphs, charts, statistics, and main bullet points - keep their use limited to that. Stay away from "eye charts"-slides crammed with so much content that only those with 20-10 vision can read them. They are deadly with a live audience, and even worse online.
Arrive Early. Nothing shakes nerves like running late to your presentation - trying to beat the clock and set up before your audience starts walking through the door. Allow ample time to arrive, ensure all equipment is working correctly, check the accuracy of your slides, and adjust lights and temperature in the room to comfortable settings. Particularly if your presentation will be video captured, you may face additional technical issues that will take time to resolve. It is also a great idea to find and meet the A/V or technical contact in case you have a glitch and need a quick equipment fix.
Deliver, Don't Distract. Delivery is an art that is honed with experience and practice; however, even seasoned presenters can keep certain tips in mind during their delivery to ensure they make an impact - in a good way. Avoid distracting movements during your presentation such as touching your face, swaying back and forth, jerky hand motions, and fidgeting with clothes. Hesitations in voice, filler words such as "um" and "uh", and awkward pauses as you try to find your place are all recipes for a distracted physical and virtual audience. Practice your speech repeatedly. The more comfortable you feel with the subject, your presentation, and its delivery - the more confident you will come across, reducing all the awkward aspects that come with unpreparedness.
Yes, Feedback is Necessary. Though it might be intimidating to open the door to critiques, it shows true professionalism when you ask your colleagues for feedback. It displays your desire to address any weaknesses and your will to work on improving them. Pass out brief questionnaires at the end of your presentation to get your audience's fresh reaction to your presentation. Provide the same opportunity for your virtual audience via online polls or surveys. Don't take the negative comments to heart, incorporate them to make corrections in your next speech. - Physical strain. A hairdresser's job involves standing for long straight hours resulting to inflamed feet and ankles, growth of varicose veins, back and joint pains.
- Competition among other hairdressers. There are many other hairdressers out there, each with his or her own skills. If you will not think of an effective marketing strategy, you will be left with just a few clients. You may pursue additional training on the recent hair dressing techniques; you may offer a light massage or any freebie that will make your service extraordinary and special to your clients.

What Are the Pros and Cons of Whole Foods?

Some say eating whole foods is an entire lifestyle. It's not just about eating raw foods or eating unprocessed meals. It is about so much more. It's about bringing environmentally-conscious reusable tote bags to pack your groceries in; it's about riding your bike instead of driving to work; it's about dyeing your hair with henna rather than chemicals; it's about wearing clothes made of hemp; it's about solar panels, reducing our carbon footprint and backyard composting. Others say the offerings at Whole Foods Market stores are overpriced and overrated.
There are many benefits to eating whole and natural foods. As Whole Foods Market chairman John Mackey says, "There's no inherent reason why business cannot be ethical, socially responsible, and profitable." Shoppers can pat themselves on the back for helping the small organic farmer in America, versus foreign workers across the country.
Those who shop specifically at the Whole Foods stores can also feel good knowing that the lowest wage for employees is $13.15/hour, with benefits that include healthcare. Furthermore, no executive makes more than 14 times the employee average. They've also purchased a year's worth of wind power energy for their stores. Fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy and meats without hormones, preservatives, pesticides and other unnatural additives seem like the most basic components of a healthy diet.
Price is one of the main criticisms of Whole Foods Market, and is sometimes casually referred to as "Whole Paycheck" for that very reason. Consumers opt into an agreement where they're willing to pay a few dollars more for whole foods that they feel are healthier, better for them and more ethical.
Some critics wonder if the movement can be justified. Are the foods locally grown? How do we know there aren't hormones or additives in this food? Questions aside, the notion that only well-off members of society can afford to shop at these stores suggests that the whole and organic food craze may be little more than a quest for distinction, a sort of status symbol of the rich.
Even though prices are high, the foods market is doing some things to promote thrift. This holiday season, Whole Foods has rolled out a promotional list of environmentally-friendly gifts that cost less than $20. They've also offered "Value Tours" of their stores to show consumers how to save a few bucks and include more money-saving tips on the company blog. "We've been nimble, and we're really able to help our shoppers when they may have to shop with a budget for the first time," said Whole Foods spokeswoman Kate Lowery.

Health Insurance Over 50 And Under 65

If you are between the ages of 50 and 65 and you are going to be looking for health insurance or are looking for health insurance you need some help. This is a tough age (of course what age isn't starting with the terrible twos) because you are at a prime age to start developing health problems. Statistically speaking and statistics is the only language insurance companies speak, the insurance company can predict they are going to spend more on 50-65 year old than a 20-45 year old. For that reason premiums are much higher for the older person.
But, we Baby Boomers are a smart group and where there is a will, there is a way. So let's look at some of the options:
If you currently have a job and are looking to retire or start your own business, you have a couple of avenues you can investigate. First you can inquire if your company will let you buy health insurance through the company plan. If your company will let you do this your employer (assuming we are talking early retirement) may subsidize part of your premiums. If not, you still get group rates which are a whole lot cheaper than individual rates. If you are married and your spouse is still working strongly consider adding yourself to his/her plan if that option is available to you.
The next option (if you currently have a job which provides health insurance) is COBRA or Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act. COBRA lets former employees and their dependents continue their employer's group coverage for up to 18 months. The best thing about COBRA is it is guaranteed. Your former employer's insurer can't turn you down even if you have a chronic medical condition. The worst thing about COBRA is the cost. Your employer generally covers 70% or more of your health insurance premium. With COBRA you have to pay the whole premium plus administrative costs. Industry surveys indicate based on an average premium (for 2007), a former employee would have to pay more than $373 a month for individual coverage and more than $1,008 a month for family coverage.
If you are not currently employed by a company who provides health insurance there are still choices for you. If you have pre-existing conditions such as diabetes or high blood pressure you can receive coverage through a state high-risk health program designed to help those with medical conditions that prevent them from getting insurance. Again though like COBRA the premiums can be quite high.
You can also check out professional organizations you could join or are already affiliated with to see if they offer health insurance policies for members. Because these are group plans, the premiums may be less than what you would pay in the individual market.
Finally, there is the individual health insurance option. There has been some progress in terms of offerings of policies for the 50-65 year age group market mainly because insurers see this age group as a potential growth market. Many Baby Boomers are in good health and have higher income than younger people. Also insurance companies hope that retirees will still purchase their products, such as supplemental insurance, even after they're eligible for Medicare. Some of policies currently offered may have premiums as low as $200 per month for people who are in good health and willing to pay a high deductible. Many insurance advice columnists recommend combining a high deductible individual health insurance policy with a health savings account. HSA contributions are made with pretax dollars, and any money left over in the account at the end of the year is rolled over for future use. Withdrawals are not taxed if used for qualified medical expenses.

There are a lot of people who have an interest in becoming a game designer but are unsure whether or not to make it a career. The main purpose of this article is to provide information which will help you make this choice. Many different variables should be taken into account and below is a list with some of the pros and cons of being a game designer.
Pros
Designing games is fun. Creating them as a whole is very enjoyable as is working on all the different game mechanics and coming up with new and interesting concepts. Many times as a player, you might think how something in that game could be changed for the better. When it's your job, you not only get to think of these ideas but also put them into practice.
You also get rewarded for creativity and innovation. Creating games in itself can feel very rewarding and when there's a positive reaction to your game, it is even better. Contrary to many professions where things are predetermined, game designers are constantly seeking things that are new and improving things that already exist.
Though the salary may not be as high as other professions, there are a lot of professionals in this industry who do earn pretty well even though the game design market has not existed as long as other industries. Several industry-related sources indicate that the salaries for this profession range from $50,000 to $80,000 annually and averaging $57,500. Some companies also give bonuses and shares of the profits.
There is a variety of niche markets which are opening up. For example, you might choose to design games for PC, console, mobile or web. Then again, your choice might be based on the game genre you like best, such as: FPS, RTS, MMORPG, puzzle, sport, etc. With this variety, it is possible for game designers to choose the area which they like the most and learn to create games in those areas.
Cons
Long hours. Not only does practicing your skills for creating games take a long while, working in designing the games also takes up a lot of time. The game designing business is also well known for employees having to work exhaustively during crunch periods, which can often span several months.
You may have to work on games that your not very interested in. Due to the incredible growth of this industry, and the immense number of games being created, the probability of this happening isn't very high. Even if this does happen, it can be turned into something positive if it later results in some sort of promotion, an increase in pay or equips you with new skills.
With the growth of the game design industry, the competition is also increasing. While there are new jobs opening constantly, the competition is becoming more fierce. Of course, this just means you need to be well prepared.
As with any profession, there are both pros and cons to being a game designer. Anyone that has a passion for games, has a keen sense of problem solving and a good dose of creativity, will find a job in game design a fun and rewarding option in a fast growing industry that has a promising future.
