What if the broker decides to shut down their office or has a 'favorite' agent they feed all the good leads to? That will leave you with nothing but a bunch of dead leads to work, no clue on how to find more and eventually out of business. If you truly want to have a long-lasting career in real estate, then you have to learn how to generate your own business.
