Inducing Lucid Dreaming - 3 Techniques That Never Fail

Lucid dreaming comes naturally only to a chosen few. The rest of us hardly remember our normal dreams, let alone have a lucid dream. But, if you are determined enough, you can always induce a lucid dream. You need to prepare and train your mind to have lucid dreams. 1. Mnemonic-induced Lucid Dreaming (MILD)

Silently affirm that you can recall your dreams perfectly and in all details whenever you go to sleep. Affirmations do work, and you will find that recalling dreams becomes easier.

Whenever you wake up, make a note of what you remember of your dreams. Don't despair if you can't recall anything. Concentrate on your feelings at that particular moment and write them down.

If you wake up much before you usual waking hour, go back to bed and try to continue with the dream that was interrupted when you woke up.

Continue this practice till you get a lucid dream.

2. Wake-induced Lucid Dreaming (WILD)

Set an alarm clock to wake you a few hours before your usual waking time. On waking, don't go back to bed right away. Stay out of bed, walk around, and keep your mind focused on lucid dreaming.

Read something interesting about lucid dreaming or watch a movie based on lucid dreaming to prepare your mind for a lucid dream.

Go back to bed, thinking about the dream you would like to experience. Tell yourself what you intend to dream about till you fall asleep.

There is every chance that you will get a lucid dream right away.

3. Externally Induced Lucid Dream (EILD)

This technique of inducing lucid dreams involves taking the help of technology and electronics. If you are having difficulties in inducing lucid dreaming on your own, you can always take the help of a lucid-dreaming device. The market is loaded with such devices, and the most effective of them is the Dream Mask.

Dream Masks detect Rapid Eye Movement (REM), the stage of sleep when you usually dream. The mask then stimulates your mind, while keeping your body undisturbed. It alerts the user by means of LED tones or lights. You can then easily get a lucid dream.
