South Korea's acting president has vowed a watertight security posture... amid the increasingly tense situation on the peninsula.
In a ministerial meeting this morning, Hwang Kyo-ahn said the government will work to strengthen the Korea-U.S. alliance... adding that Seoul and Washington are coordinating on all fronts.
He also said the government would mobilize its diplomatic capabilities in light of U.S. Vice President Mike Pence's visit to Seoul starting Sunday.
Hwang's remarks appear to be aimed at quelling fears of a provocation from Pyongyang around major events this month and the tough talk out of Washington that all options for dealing with the regime are on the table.
