SpaceBound Entertainment Presents, 5 actors who
were seriously injured during filming, some of
these actors actually came close to death... First up
on the list, Channing Tatum.

In 2009, Channing Tatum was filming a scene in Scotland
for his movie, "The Eagle" in which his character has
to be put through cold, icy water. In order to warm up
his body between takes, a crew member was told to mix
boiling water and river water, then pour it into Channings
wetsuit. When Tatum indulged in his last splash of cold
water for the day, the crew member actually forgot
to dilude the boiling water with icy river water, and
poured it down his wetsuit against his privates. The wetsuit
actually kept the boiling water pressed against his skin
down there, which was burned partically off. He was rushed
to the hospital where he was bandaged up.


Jackie Chan
This next person shouldn't surprise you considering he is
his own stuntman, Jackie Chan is up next.

As a result of performing his own stunts, Jackie Chan almost
always gets hurt on the set of his films. But he says
this particular moment was the worst injury, one he wrote
and I quote, "the one that almost killed me." On the set
of the 1986 movie "Armour of God", Chan was supposed to
jump from a castle wall and land in a tree. Instead he
missed his target and fell 25 feet to the ground, landing
head first on a rock. His skull was fractured, a piece
of his bone shot into his brain, and blood started
pouring out of his ear. He was ruched to the ER for brain
surgery, and to this day, he still wears a plastic plug
over a hole in his skull to keep his brains in.


George Clooney
Next Up is George Clooney, who was seriously injured.

While making the movie, "Syriana" in 2005, George Clooney
hurt his spine so bad that he actually began expelling
spinal fluid from his nose. The injury caused migraines
so severe that he began contemplating suicide. Thankfully,
surgery helped to relieve his pain, although he still gets
occasional, less severe headaches.


Halle Berry
You might be wondering why Halle Berry is on this list, heres
why.

In the 2003 film "Gothika," Halle Berry played a psychologist
who finds herself trapped in a sanitarium. One scene she was
required to struggle against a doctor, which was played by
Robert Downey Jr. who was pinning her to a cot, but she
resisted his grip so forcefully that she broke her forearm bone
called the ulna. She said, "I knew that it was broken instantly
and Robert knew it, too, because he heard the snap". She returned
three weeks later to finish filming.

Sylvester Stallone
This actor is famous for his fighting in the movie series, "Rocky",
next up is Sylvester Stallone.

When filming the climatic fighting scene between Rocky Balboa and
Ivan Drago in "Rockie IV," Sylvester instructed the swedish actor
to actually try to knock him out. He obligated, and hit Stallone
so hard in the chest that his pericardial sac became swollen and
started to press against his heart. Obviously knowing something was
wrong, Stallone went to the local hospital only to be put on an
emergency flight to St. Johns in Santa Monica where he remained
in intensive care for nine days. Oddly enough, his insurance
company refused to pay for his medical bills at first, but then
paid up after watching the fight footage.
