OLD?! Filmmakers on Aging / Living Fully / Graceful Aging / Nancy Bloom /

[ad_1]

Nancy Bloom, Counselor and Transformative Therapist to people of all ages, interviews 2 Women Filmmakers who share their films on living fully as we age. Both the women and their films highlight honoring our age, as we move into and through the third third of our life.

Showcasing people from age 10 days to 101 years, the film "OLD?!" shares the lives of people living fully whatever their ages: artists, children, teens, parents, grandparents, tree climbers and more.

People share moving stories of finding new love in their elder years. Love has no age, says filmmaker Katherine Roselli. Other people speak of starting new families and reinventing their lives! Kathy herself talks about becoming a filmmaker in her 60's after retirement.

The film "Bernardina" by Cat Gould is a brief yet moving portrait of a woman in her 80's, awakening to the fact of her own aging and mortality, feeling sadness and fear, and then also relieved, savoring the fulfilling life she has lived. And owning her age, finally "without struggle or strife," as she spontaneously sings. And being very much in the moment.

Living life to the full - Carpe Diem - is a theme here, and each filmmaker shares the adventure of their creative work, and their responses to the people they feature. Each of these women filmmakers felt blessed and enriched by their encounters with their subjects and by the creative process.

This show offers an invigorating and empowering invitation into a fulfilling and vibrant journey through life, into our older years.
