I'd say this is my #1 food out of them all. Why? Because it can be eaten at every meal. This way you have the freedom to continue eating your favorite foods. But by adding this to the meal, you get some good protein and fiber while crowding out calories from the rest of the meal.
It's a cheap food, 58 cents a can at Wal-Mart and it only takes 5 minutes to cook.
2. Low calorie yogurts
At 33 cents each, it's hard to beat as a snack. I go to Wal-Mart about once every 5 days and each time I go, I buy about 12 of these. I eat about 2 a day. Although it's slightly high in carbs, the proteins in it help to control your blood sugar. So not a problem. Just about the perfect size snack in my opinion.
3. Eggs
Eggs are beyond great as a meal... especiall at breakfast because your body needs good quality protein in the morning... IMMEDIATELY.
You can make this doubly good by adding in perhaps 1/2 can of black beans. Now that's a breakfast that will get you on the path towards losing weight.
